This audit searched the full corpus for every scientist known to have Epstein connections and identified 30+ additional individuals with significant document counts who were not previously investigated.

Full-Corpus Analysis of Epstein's Science Connections (1,380,937 Documents)

PURPOSE

The existing BIOTECH_SCIENCE_NETWORK_INVESTIGATION covered approximately 12 scientists in depth (Nowak, Chomsky, Hillis, Krauss, Church, Lloyd, Ito, Boyden, Marsh, Slavin, Gershenfeld, Seung). This audit searched the full corpus for every scientist known to have Epstein connections and identified 30+ additional individuals with significant document counts who were not previously investigated.

The most significant gap: Robert Trivers (943 documents, FBI FinCEN investigation) was completely absent from all reports.

METHODOLOGY

Every name was searched across full_text_corpus.db (1,380,937 documents, 2,731,796 pages, 4.79 GB). Document counts reflect unique EFTA numbers containing the search term. Context snippets were extracted for classification (direct email, calendar entry, contact list, news article, FBI document, etc.).

DETAILED FINDINGS: PREVIOUSLY UNINVESTIGATED SCIENTISTS

1. ROBERT TRIVERS — 943 Documents

Robert Trivers is a Rutgers University evolutionary biologist who developed the theories of reciprocal altruism, parental investment, and self-deception. He is considered one of the most influential evolutionary theorists since Darwin. FBI FinCEN Investigation (2023):

FBI NY Field Office response noted USAO restriction "due to an appeal pending regarding Ghislaine Maxwell."

Significance: FinCEN deconfliction means financial intelligence reports (SARs) were filed naming Trivers in connection with Epstein-related financial activity. The FBI was checking whether pursuing Trivers would conflict with the Maxwell case.

Epstein offered $100K donation to any university that hired Trivers. Rutgers Departure and Research Direction:

EFTA00852190: Trivers to Epstein (Jul 6, 2015): "waiting in New Jersey for Rutgers to cough up the first check due me on what i am no longer allowed to talk about—given the so-called non-disclosure form i signed." Plans to leave Rutgers and NJ permanently by Jan 2016, formal resignation June 2017.

EFTA01035762: Trivers to Epstein (Mar 16, 2019). Long email on genetics of homosexuality, honor killings, and transgender biology. EFTA00853720: Trivers to David Haig (Harvard evolutionary geneticist) AND Epstein (Mar 19, 2018). Introduces Haig to Epstein as "a financial/mathematical mind of exceptional quality." Mocks John Brockman's Edge Foundation: "the egomaniacal nonsense that infects John Brockman... neither David nor i can think of a single scientific advance achieved that way." Also discusses Gordon Getty's characterization of Trump as "an archetypal narcissistic psychopath."

Ongoing Contact (2018-2019):

EFTA00471638: Lesley Groff to Trivers (Apr 22, 2018): "I received your voicemail... you are in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina! Hoping you two will be able to catch up." — Trivers still actively calling Epstein's office in 2018.

Harvard PED Connection:

EFTA00188312 (p.14): News article — Trivers' talk at Harvard's Program for Evolutionary Dynamics (PED) was cancelled after he called Dershowitz a "Nazi-like apologist." Trivers believed Dershowitz and Epstein used their influence to get the speech cancelled. PED was founded with Epstein's $6.5M donation and directed by Martin Nowak.

Timeline: Documents span 2011-2019 (financial support from 2011 through COUG/ELF entities; final known correspondence Mar 2019, 4 months before arrest), plus FBI FinCEN deconfliction interest in 2023. Trivers was part of Epstein's core science network: regular lunches at the Manhattan mansion, Brockman/Edge pipeline connection, overlap with Barak/Black/Ruemmler on the same calendar days. Epstein was not merely a donor but actively directed Trivers' research topics, offered job placement funding, and self-identified to Chomsky as Trivers' "major funder."

2. AL SECKEL — 1,372 Documents

Al Seckel was a perceptual scientist specializing in optical illusions and cognitive science. He organized scientific events and served as a key connector between Epstein's science and social networks. Seckel died in 2015 under disputed circumstances (fell from a cliff in France). Key Evidence:

EFTA02007580: Financial dispute — Epstein paying Seckel: "he said he got the last two 10k and a couple of thousand before." Seckel: "I will have to make it up to him out of my own pocket, and the amount isn't trivial."

EFTA01780237: Money dispute with intermediary: "he was storming mad, but glad he was nice with you."

Significance: Seckel was Epstein's primary event organizer for science gatherings, connecting Epstein to dozens of prominent scientists. His guest lists included Christine Maxwell (Ghislaine's sister) alongside scientists and tech entrepreneurs. With 1,372 documents, he was one of the most active members of Epstein's network. His death in 2015 has never been connected to the Epstein investigation.

3. BROCK PIERCE — 1,782 Documents

Brock Pierce is the chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation, co-founder of Digital Currency Group, and former child actor (Disney). He has been separately accused of sexual abuse in connection with the Digital Entertainment Network scandal. Key Evidence:

4. RICHARD AXEL — 866 Documents

Richard Axel is a Columbia University neuroscientist who won the 2004 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his work on olfactory receptors. He is a Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator. Key Evidence:

Significance: A Nobel laureate maintaining a close personal friendship with Epstein through at least December 2018 (7 months before arrest). Axel attended dinners, reported back on social intelligence, referred medical contacts, and was offered as a draw to Steve Bannon.

5. NATHAN WOLFE — 590 Documents

Nathan Wolfe is a Stanford virologist, founder of Global Viral Forecasting Initiative (later Metabiota), and pioneer in pandemic early warning systems. He authored "The Viral Storm" (2011). Metabiota was later connected to controversial biolabs in Ukraine. Key Evidence:

Significance: A pandemic preparedness scientist conducting what appears to be active research collaboration with Epstein ("our add-on study"). Wolfe's Metabiota was later accused of involvement in controversial biolab work. The nature of the research collaboration with Epstein has never been examined.

6. ERIC LANDER — 556 Documents

Eric Lander was the founding director of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. President Biden appointed him as the first presidential Science Advisor with Cabinet rank in 2021; he resigned in February 2022 after bullying allegations. He led the Human Genome Project. Key Evidence:

EFTA01873796: Lander to Epstein: "Jeffrey: Yes, Larry also said I should meet you. Glad to finally connect. I could do April 15 around 1 pm. Any chance I can tempt you to come down to the Broad in Kendall Sq?" (Apr 2012). "Larry" = likely Larry Summers.

EFTA02032663: "Great to talk over dinner on Thurs. I appreciate the brainstorming and pushing around messaging" (May 2012). Epstein: "you have done a remarkable job, without my help, so I'm not sure I can add very much."

EFTA01873316: "Eric Lander will call you on the island, your personal line at 10am on Saturday."

EFTA02007292: Someone listing scientists for Epstein: "There are some super stars of science (Eric Lander of Broad/MIT, Susumu Tonegawa — a Nobel winner), big stars of science (Bruce Walker of Harvard/MIT, Bob Langer of MIT)."

EFTA02033129: Epstein: "Tonite (thurs) Eric Lander the man behind the human genome project is coming at 8 and you are welcome to come at anytime to ask questions, and schmooze."

EFTA01873597: "??? Eric Lander — Martin Nowak has emailed Eric" — Nowak facilitating the connection.

EFTA00018441: Epstein's website claimed he "had the privilege of sponsoring" Lander. Steven Pinker confirmed the claim.

Significance: Biden's first Science Advisor maintained a direct relationship with Epstein, had dinner at his residence, and called him on Little Saint James. The connection was facilitated by Larry Summers and Martin Nowak. Epstein publicly claimed to have "sponsored" Lander's work. This has national security implications given Lander's subsequent Cabinet-level position.

7. LISA RANDALL — 988 Documents

Lisa Randall is a Harvard theoretical physicist known for work on extra dimensions and particle physics. She is one of the most cited theoretical physicists alive. Key Evidence:

EFTA01780767: Epstein to Randall: "are you doing? I would like the daughter of my friend to attend... her name is Alessa Staley, who should I talk to, or could you" — Epstein asking Randall to facilitate Harvard admission for what appears to be Jes Staley's daughter (Nov 30, 2009).

EFTA01780586: Randall: "I'm back from Europe. If you want to talk let me know" (Dec 2009).

EFTA01975835: Randall forwards "Dialog 2014" invitation to Epstein asking "Is this worthwhile?" / Epstein: "sundance is nice, go" (Nov 2012).

On massive guest lists alongside Danny Hillis, Frances Arnold, Craig Venter, Elon Musk, Larry Page.

Significance: Direct personal relationship with Epstein post-conviction. Epstein used Randall to place Jes Staley's daughter at Harvard — connecting the physicist to the Barclays CEO who was separately convicted of Epstein-related misconduct. The "Alessa Staley" school placement is a previously unreported connection between Epstein's science and banking networks. Note: The 988 doc count likely includes some "Randall" matches for other individuals. Unique "Lisa Randall" matches are lower but still significant.

8. PABLOS HOLMAN — 572 Documents

Pablos Holman is a hacker, inventor, and technology futurist who worked at Intellectual Ventures Lab (Nathan Myhrvold's patent/technology company, closely connected to Bill Gates). Key Evidence:

EFTA01754675: "JE to go to Vegas. Meet up w/Pablos around 3-4pm at DEF CON. Dinner w/Pablos & others" (Aug 3, 2013). Epstein attended DEF CON (the world's largest hacking conference) with Holman.

EFTA01975710: Holman to Epstein: forwarding message. Epstein: "Im meeting with Joel Klein on Monday, any edutai[nment]..." — education technology discussions.

EFTA01976125: Holman: "These are some of the best selling 'first person shooter' games... Fuck educational reform. We need educational subversion!"

EFTA01961773: "Want to come by the Lab at 9:00 am? Intellectual Ventures Lab, 1600 132nd Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98005" (Aug 2013). Epstein visited the IV Lab.

Significance: Epstein had access to Intellectual Ventures Lab (connected to Nathan Myhrvold and Bill Gates) and attended DEF CON, the premier hacking conference. The intersection of Epstein's network with hacking/cybersecurity communities has not been investigated.

9. DAN DUBNO — 505 Documents

Dan Dubno is a technology journalist (former CBS News), founder of the Hourglass Initiative, and inventor. His brother Michael Dubno was Head of Research at Bank of America. Key Evidence:

10. STUART PIVAR — 55 Documents

Stuart Pivar is a biotechnology entrepreneur and art collector who co-founded the New York Academy of Art with Epstein and Andy Warhol. Key Evidence:

EFTA01689427 (pp.17-21): FBI FD-302 interview (Sep 4, 2007). Pivar interviewed at his residence. "Pivar has known Jeffrey Epstein since the 1980s." Pivar co-founded NYAA with Epstein. "Pivar 'got out of hand' and did not get reelected to the board."

EFTA01809626: "Spoke with Stuart Pivar who explained to him what is going on right now with you, the Duke, etc... Kermit had no idea and he wanted to express to you how terrible he thinks it all is." — Pivar briefing others on Epstein's legal situation.

EFTA01922253: Pivar to Epstein: "My friend Greg has the greatest private collection of taxidermy animals and birds" (Jun 2014).

Significance: One of Epstein's oldest known friends (since 1980s). FBI-interviewed. Co-founded the New York Academy of Art with Epstein — the art school is a potential recruitment pathway that has not been examined.

11. OLIVER SACKS — 65 Documents

Oliver Sacks (1933-2015) was a Columbia University neurologist and bestselling author ("The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat," "Awakenings"). Key Evidence:

EFTA01745624: David Grosof to Epstein (Aug 30, 2015): "I am very sad to lose Oliver Sacks. I can scarcely imagine two people more different in personality than you and him, and so I hope your connection to him was as enriching as it could [be]." — Confirms a personal connection between Epstein and Sacks.

On World Science Festival and Brockman/Edge event lists.

Significance: The mourning email confirms Epstein had a known "connection" to Sacks that was well-known to others in his circle. The nature of this connection has not been examined.

12. DIMITAR SASSELOV — 69 Documents

Dimitar Sasselov directs Harvard's Origins of Life Initiative and is a professor of astronomy. Key Evidence:

FBI/FinCEN ANGLE

The FinCEN deconfliction request (EFTA00144222 through EFTA00144243) reveals that as of April 2023, the FBI's financial intelligence unit was actively investigating at least 10 names connected to Epstein, including Robert Trivers. The request went from FBI CID (Criminal Investigation Division) to the NY Field Office's Child Exploitation/Human Trafficking unit. The response noted that "USAO has not been releasing information due to an appeal pending regarding Ghislaine Maxwell."

This means: (1) financial intelligence reports (SARs) were filed mentioning Trivers and Epstein; (2) the FBI FinCEN liaison considered it urgent enough for a deconfliction request; (3) as of April 2023, the investigation was still considered active enough to require coordination.
