Dear Miss Maxwell, As per Helen's instructions on Friday, I am in contact with John Oblanas concerning your interest in him for the Director of Development position (DOD). Originally, this position was presented to Mr. Oblanas with the concept that it was a heavy travel job and supervisory / management position, but that it did not need to be based in NYC where Stephen would handle the liaison function. The idea was that the DOD would be able to do his on site work, meet the principals on location or in NYC as required, but perform the oversight and reporting function from another location besides NYC. I do not believe that he is seeking to relocate. My recommendation is that before bringing John to NYC for an interview, you consider whether the position has changed somewhat with Stephen's departure. Perhaps a phone interview with him on Monday would be a good way to proceed so that your time is not wasted in this matter. I look forward to being in contact with you on this matter.
