They are proposing following the same route as the cable from St. Thomas, and coming onto GSJ at a point that will avoid disturbing the area that is known to contain an underwater grass that is protected. Mr. Fraguela recommends digging a trench 3 feet in depth that will bring the cable from the point of landing to the point that you have indicated you wish to have the main power vault constructed. With you approval of Mr. Fraguela's proposal, he is requesting Ms. Dempsey dive the area to confirm that the grass is not present. Plan drawings can then be created, sent to WAPA for final review and approval, and the permit application submitted to DPNR.
