Subject: Project Cisco
Bu Ahmed,
In order for us to move forward on project Cisco we need the following to be achieved by Nov.7th 2009.
I) EIB: We already have in principle financing of 000m.
However we want this number to increase to €550m
2) We are in dialogue with commercial banks for £500m which should reduce to £250m if we get EIB support extended as requested
above.
However even the commercial banks that have shown interest are not looking at tenures much makes the project viable. Therefore we
will need the govt to credit enhance the banks such that they can support 12 years plus tenure.
Finally, if we want HH and the PM to attend the ground breaking ceremony the above deals must be firm, signed and sealed before
Nov.7th.
Regards,
Mohammed Sharaf
CEO DP World
