They are worn to the point of failure and vibrate badly. wrote: Daphne Wallace Gene Kral 2 We bought pumps and pulleys we can install but I am referencing the gear in the aft compartment that is the hydraulic actuator and linkage for the rudders 3 The cylinders were damaged at sea due to improper installation and subsequent damage from a broken fitting. The ramp was secured with a safety strap but still pulled the top sealing portion out of the cylinder. I discussed this with Roy and it was decided to weld solid the leaking and damaged portions rendering the cylinders unserviceable in the future but functional for the present. The fit of the mounts needs to be remedied at this time. The cylinders work now but are not repairable. Evaluation while being removed to correct and improve the mounting is necessary at a minimum. 4 EFTA01203750 The exhaust was assembled without funding to get the barge off the dick at the last haulout. It is not properly assembled or supports nor is it insulated. 6 We have new ones but need new mounting hoses And must be done out of the water 7 Bearings must be purchased. I think SBDD has them 8 Inspection and new sacrificial sinks installed. 9 SBDD should provide this but it can be discussed. 10 Machine shop work SBDD 12 This should be done at the same time the tank is cleaned. 13 Watertight compartments forward would need to be dewatered if breached. There is no ability to do so at this time except fit the first two compartments that are joins as one due to a hole in the bulkhead. 16 The gauges for oil and temp and rpm are not accurate. Timing of work I have been told this haul out must be done in late April or May as there is scheduled and contracted work reported for this facility during June, July and August.
