Thank you! We will move forward with coordination and start the flow through hi vis on upcoming
response determinations.
As to the incoming requests, we have several that also require DO outreach to help with access to
certain records or request the office conducts a search of the records. We have communicated about
few specific requests that in a FOIA litigation, however we have several others in the administrative
stage that need to be actioned. Many were reflected on the previous Excel attachment.
Please let me know how we can efficiently message requests that require general DO engagement. I
propose an email notice to IMD FO with links to the IP/Triage dashboard once the request has been
triaged internal to RIDS and FLU/OGC per our normal process. We can discuss more during the
RIDS 1:1 and upcoming sync meetings. If there is a suggestion or feedback to start to consider,
please let me know.
Thanks again!!

Yes, FBI (RIDS and OGC) should be lock-step with DOJ in our Epstein FOIPA requests and litigations,
and coordinate with DOJ (to include OIP) on any potential actions and disseminations.
Copy on UC
serving as POC, and per my conversations with OGC, any actions and
decisions should also include SC RIDS and SC LitS.
Appreciate you keeping IMDFO updated on these coordination discussions, and proposed actions
forward. We will communicate any/all proposals as HiVis items.

All-
As discussed a couple of weeks ago, DOJ/OIP is seeking to coordinate across components for all
Epstein related requests .
RIDS has coordinated in this way with OIP on previous subjects where there is a hi h robability there
are overlapping requests. The IMD/RIDS POC for this iteration will be UC
Coordination efforts in the past generally relay the anticipated response determination of the FBI to
ensure the Department is handling requests consistently and as appropriate depending on the roles
and records of each component. For example, the FBI response for records may not align to the
same response as OIP or another DOJ component due to the FBI mission and expected records.
Additionally, as discussed, I have engaged OGC SC
and FLU UC
to
confirm the way forward for requests related to investigative records. OGC concurs that the FOIA
responses are to proceed in normal course. UC
indicated he would circle back with
for final concurrence.
The attached spreadsheet outlines the pending requests for FBI. RIDS requests approval to provide
the attached information to OIP as a start to the coordination effort. RIDS is not yet aware how OIP
will facilitate the coordination but has provided two lead contacts:
(OIP) and
(OIP).
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Subject: Epstein Requests
Good morning,
I received the following from OIP:
I. (IMD) (FBI) <I
>;
OIP is facilitating coordination of FOIA requests regarding Jeffrey Epstein for the leadership offices.
Details on the coordination process are TBD, but if your component has any Epstein-related requests
please let us know that ASAP so we can take stock of what's out there. Lead POCs for this
coordination topic are
I (OIP) and
(OIP). Thank you!
I confirmed that this ask is inclusive of ALL requests (not just litigations).
EFTA01655433
Please let me know if this is something that will be coordinated through IMD and if there are POCs I
can relay back to O1P for this ask?
Thank you,
