Special Agents and This e-mail from Paul Cassell claims that home in Colorado was broken into. Cassell wants to know who at the FBI is responsible for MI safety. When this issue first arose on Sunday, and I spoke and decided to forward to request for assistance/protection to the FBI, so it could determine, within their policies and guidelines, whether safety was a matter for the FBI to assume control. Has there been any decision made on this? Cassell contends local law enforcement has been contacted, and is handling the matter, but he appears not to have much confidence in their abilities. I am not suggesting that the FBI do something in this case that its policies and procedures would not otherwise dictate. Thanks for your help. Dear U.S. Attorney's Team, As you know, we have been worried about safety. I am advised that a short time ago, home was broken in, despite having placed a series of new locks on the door. I am assuming this is the work of Epstein and his associates. Who is handling IM safety from the FBI. I need heard from anyone with the FBI that they contacted He safety right now is being handled but local law enforcement, but obviously she is at risk from players who are far more significant than the usual dangers that local law enforcement responds to. Here's the situation. now resides in Penrose, Colorado. Yesterday she went to the WalMart there and was followed by a dozen members of the British media. She had to call WalMart security just to get out of the store. When she, her husband, and kids returned to their home, they found the backdoor to their home had been left open. They had been taking high securLprecautions, so that seemed very unusual. Brad and I believe that this may be Epstein (or his associates) signaling that ■ should not talk. EFTA01660360 I called the FBI in Colorado this morning, which bounced me to a national call center -- I tried to pass along information to them about the possible threat to IN (who, as you know, as cooperated with the FBI). The call center did not appear to take the threat seriously, said that the FBI would not be a first responder, and told me to call local law enforcement. I then called the Penrose/Florence Police Department. They appear to be taking the matter seriously and are in the process of looking into the possible burglary yesterday afternoon. I am writing to see if you can provide me with contact information for one of the FBI agents who has worked with in the past -- obviously a number of the people who would have a reason to make IMI disappear are known to the FBI, and we haven't disclosed them to the Florence PD (I just sent our pleading, which mentions the five or so names that are in controversy now.) I would like to alert the FBI to the situation so that they can help provide assistance to either directly or perhaps working through local law enforcement. If it would be better for the agent to just call me directly, my cell phone is Thank you for any assistance you can extend rapidly on this important matter.
