285 EFTA documents reveal how Fabrice Aidan used his @un.org email to send advance copies of Lebanon reports, coordinate a Gates-UAE dinner, and connect Epstein to the Rothschild banking family
On March 24, 2026, French investigators raided the Paris offices of Swiss bank Edmond de Rothschild. The target: Fabrice Aidan, a French diplomat who was seconded to the United Nations from 2006 to 2013 and later worked at the bank. Aidan appeared in over 200 documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice.
A review of all 285 documents linked to Aidan in the EFTA corpus reveals what those documents actually contain -- and why French prosecutors are interested. The files show a UN official using his @un.org email address to forward advance copies of Security Council reports, coordinate diplomatic meetings between heads of state, and share sensitive Middle Eastern intelligence directly to Jeffrey Epstein's personal Gmail account.
The Chain of Command
Aidan's official title was Special Assistant to Terje Roed-Larsen, the UN Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for the Implementation of Security Council Resolution 1559 -- the landmark resolution demanding the withdrawal of foreign forces from Lebanon and the disarmament of militias including Hezbollah. Roed-Larsen was one of the most connected diplomats in the Middle East, with direct access to heads of state from Israel, Lebanon, Syria, and the Gulf monarchies.
The co-occurrence data in the EFTA archive quantifies this relationship. Aidan and Roed-Larsen appear together in 29 documents. But both men appear far more frequently alongside Jeffrey Epstein: Aidan co-occurs with Epstein in 186 documents. This means the vast majority of Aidan's documented communications in the archive were directed at or involved Epstein -- not his UN superior.
This was not a diplomat occasionally CC'ing a donor. This was a systematic pipeline from the United Nations to a convicted sex offender.
Security Council Briefings Sent to a Convicted Sex Offender
The most significant document is dated October 19, 2012. From his United Nations email, Aidan forwarded to Epstein the "16th semi annual report of the Secretary-General on the implementation of [Resolution] 1559." The email notes the report was sent "as just released to the Security Council."
This was not a public document at the time it was forwarded. It was an advance copy of an official UN report, shared with Security Council members that day, and forwarded by a UN official directly to a registered sex offender.
This was not an isolated incident. The EFTA files contain at least five Security Council briefings forwarded through the Aidan-to-Epstein chain:
- The 13th semi-annual 1559 briefing (May 2011)
- The 14th semi-annual 1559 briefing, sent "as delivered" to the Security Council (October 2011)
- The "Briefing of Terje to the Security Council" -- the 15th 1559 briefing, sent from Aidan directly to Epstein with the note "here it is" (May 2012)
- The 16th briefing sent "as just released to the Security Council" (October 2012)
All were sent from Aidan's official UN email address. His signature block reads: "Fabrice AIDAN, Special Assistant to the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General, Room: DC1-1102, New York, NY 10017."
Coordinating a Gates-UAE Dinner Through Epstein
On January 25, 2011, Aidan sent an email to Epstein marked "Urgent" from his @un.org address: "Just tried to call you. Sh abdallah accepts the dinner with b gates. They need urgently a phone number for protocol coordination."
"Sh abdallah" is Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates. "B gates" is Bill Gates.
A UN official was using United Nations communications infrastructure to coordinate a dinner between a Gulf foreign minister and the world's richest man -- routed through Jeffrey Epstein.
The same day, Epstein forwarded Aidan's messages to Boris Nikolic, then science advisor to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, who was emailing from @gatesfoundation.org. Epstein added a note about Sheikh Abdullah: "abdullah is also friendly with Prince Andrew, we should speak before you two meet."
The Nikolic Thread and Real-Time Intelligence
Boris Nikolic is the third most frequent co-occurrence in Aidan's document network, appearing in 22 documents. His role extended beyond Gates Foundation logistics. On January 25, 2011 -- the same day as the Sheikh Abdullah dinner coordination -- Nikolic emailed Epstein from Davos with a real-time intelligence dispatch: "Consu is right now with Sarkozy at G20 mtg."
This was not policy analysis or media commentary. It was a live report on the movements of a sitting French president at an international summit, sent to a convicted sex offender. The Davos dispatch illustrates the kind of information flowing through Epstein's network -- not just official documents, but granular, real-time intelligence on world leaders' whereabouts and meetings.
Travel and Personal Logistics: 22 Avenue Foch
The EFTA documents show Aidan did not merely forward documents. He served as a full-service concierge for the Epstein-Roed-Larsen relationship, coordinating travel to Epstein's Paris apartment at 22 Avenue Foch -- one of the most prestigious addresses in Paris, located steps from the Arc de Triomphe.
Aidan arranged flights through Paris Le Bourget, the private airport north of Paris favored by heads of state and the ultra-wealthy. One email reads: "Fabrice told me they will be arriving Paris Le Bourget via private plane." This was not commercial travel. This was private aviation logistics coordinated by a UN employee.
The personal touches went further. Aidan handled shoe sizes for personalized gifts -- "Edward size 7 EJRL, Terje size 9 TRL" -- suggesting that Epstein was commissioning bespoke gifts for Roed-Larsen and another associate, with his UN assistant collecting the sizing details. Aidan also coordinated food preferences for dinners at the Avenue Foch apartment, functioning less as a diplomat and more as a personal assistant to both Roed-Larsen and Epstein simultaneously.
The Four-Hop Intelligence Chain
The Security Council briefings were not the only sensitive material flowing through Aidan to Epstein. The EFTA documents reveal a remarkable four-hop chain from the heart of the United Nations to Epstein's inbox.
In October 2012, Martin Nesirky -- the official Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General -- sent internal communications about Hezbollah's reaction to the UNSG report on Resolution 1559. Those communications flowed from Nesirky to Aidan, from Aidan to Roed-Larsen, and from Roed-Larsen to Epstein. Four hops: from the UN Spokesperson's office, through a special assistant, through a special envoy, to a convicted sex offender.
This chain demonstrates that the leak was not confined to one rogue employee. It was an established pathway through multiple layers of the UN bureaucracy, with each participant either aware of or indifferent to the ultimate destination of the information.
Other sensitive material flowing through the chain included:
- A transcript of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's speech (March 2011), forwarded from Aidan's @un.org address as the Syrian civil war was escalating
- A classified UN Secretary-General report about the IDF using "unnecessary force" and "live fire against unarmed demonstrators" on Nakba Day, forwarded with "Importance: high" (July 2011)
- Intelligence on Netanyahu appointing a new Shin Bet chief, forwarded through the Aidan-Roed-Larsen chain
- An Israeli airstrike on a truck convoy in Syria, forwarded from Aidan's UN email (January 2013)
- Foreign Policy coverage of Prince Bandar bin Sultan's appointment as Saudi intelligence chief (July 2012)
The Atlantic Council Email
In July 2013, shortly before leaving the UN, Aidan sent Epstein an article about "Blackberry Diplomacy" and Syria policy from the Atlantic Council with the note: "You'll find it interesting." By this point, Syria was in the grip of full-scale civil war, with the UN Security Council deadlocked over intervention.
The email is revealing not for its classified content -- it references a public article -- but for what it implies about the relationship. A UN diplomat was curating foreign policy analysis for a convicted sex offender, treating him as a peer who should be briefed on developments in Middle Eastern security policy. This was not a social acquaintance sending a link. This was a professional intelligence relationship.
The Co-Occurrence Network
The full co-occurrence data around Aidan maps the contours of Epstein's geopolitical network. After Epstein himself (186 documents) and Roed-Larsen (29), the most frequent names are: Boris Nikolic (22 documents), Barack Obama (5), Benjamin Netanyahu (4), Prince Andrew (3), Ehud Olmert (2), Ehud Barak (2), Joe Biden (2), and Prince Bandar bin Sultan (1).
This is not a social network. It is a map of power. Two Israeli prime ministers, two American presidents, a British royal, a Saudi intelligence chief, and the Gates Foundation's top scientist -- all appearing in the documentary orbit of a mid-level UN assistant who was forwarding Security Council briefings to a sex offender.
The Rothschild Connection
The French raid on Edmond de Rothschild's Paris offices now has clear documentary basis in the EFTA files. Multiple documents from February 2014 show Ariane de Rothschild -- then vice-chair of the Edmond de Rothschild Group -- emailing Epstein: "We re supposed to have dinner with Terje and Fabrice Aidan at L'Ami Louis at 9:00."
In another exchange, de Rothschild invited Epstein to lunch at "the bank" to "show you the embossed leather and the view on Grand Palais" -- confirming that Epstein visited the Edmond de Rothschild bank offices in person.
Aidan worked at Edmond de Rothschild from 2014 to 2016, after leaving the United Nations. The dinner at L'Ami Louis -- a celebrated Paris bistro -- places Aidan at the nexus of Epstein's relationship with the Rothschild banking family during the transition period between his UN career and his bank employment.
What the Raid Means
Aidan is under investigation by French authorities for corruption during his tenure at the UN and the bank. The EFTA documents show exactly what the prosecutors are likely looking at: a diplomat who used his official position to serve as a conduit between United Nations intelligence operations and a convicted sex offender's private network -- a network that included heads of state, billionaires, and major financial institutions.
The four-hop chain from the UN Spokesperson's office to Epstein's Gmail inbox is not an anomaly. It is the architecture of access. And the documents are available for review.
