Born Virginia Louise Roberts on August 9, 1983, in Sacramento, California. In mid-2000, at age 16, she was recruited by Ghislaine Maxwell while working as a spa attendant at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. Maxwell approached her about a job as a 'traveling masseuse' for Epstein. Giuffre became the most prominent accuser and survivor in the Epstein case, providing sworn testimony that she was sexually trafficked to multiple powerful men including Prince Andrew (on three occasions in London, New York, and Epstein's private island) and attorney Alan Dershowitz. A photograph showing Prince Andrew with his arm around the then-17-year-old Giuffre at Maxwell's London townhouse was authenticated via email metadata.
Giuffre notably never accused Bill Clinton of sexual misconduct, though she described seeing him in Epstein's social circles. Appears on 85+ Epstein flight logs. Filed a landmark defamation lawsuit against Maxwell in 2015, which settled under seal in 2017. The unsealing of documents from that case in January 2024 revealed 4,553 pages naming over 150 people connected to Epstein. Filed a civil lawsuit against Prince Andrew in August 2021; it settled in February 2022 for a reported ~$12 million.
Also sued Dershowitz, who denied all allegations; Giuffre issued a statement in 2024 saying she 'may have made a mistake' in identifying him. Married Robert Giuffre in 2002 and lived in Australia for over a decade. Died by suicide on April 25, 2025, at age 41.
Her memoir, 'Nobody's Girl,' was published posthumously in October 2025.
